This photo of the Hartford Skyline comes from John DeLisa, courtesy of Ron Delisa and is dated January 22, 1940. Note the leaves on the trees, so it was hopefully taken earlier.

Also note the transmitting towers quite visible near the Travelers' Tower. According to Jeff Hugabonne they were taken down in December, 1941 and donated to the scrap drive.

WTIC-AM's transmitter moved to Avon in 1929.
